CRONULLA MEN’S BOWLING CLUB

BY – LAWS

BY-LAW 1. The Match Committee or one or more of its members shall be the controlling body for all games played. 

 

 

 

BY-LAW 2.  An Umpire shall be rostered for all Pennants matches and Club Championships. 

 

 

 

BY-LAW 3. Eligibility for Club Championships

                   An eligible player means a registered financial member who has declared Cronulla as his Club for the season, prior to the draw, and as defined by Bowls  N.S.W.  

     

Major Singles: –   All eligible members.  

 

Pairs, Triples and Fours –  All eligible members

 

Minor Singles: –               All eligible members who have not previously won a Minor or Major Singles Championship or Major Pairs Championship in this club or any other club.  Previous winners of a Minor Pairs Championship are eligible providing they do not play with the same partner.  Special conditions may be applied to this event by the Management Committee from time to time.

 

Minor Pairs               All eligible members who have not previously won a Minor or Major Singles  or Major Pairs Championship in this club or any other club.  Special conditions may be applied to this event by the Management Committee from time to time.

 

 

 

 

BY-LAW 4.    The Management Committee shall impose all conditions of play prior to the draw for any competition, and may impose charges and green fees for any matches or Championship events.

 

 

 

BY-LAW 5.    All Club Championship events shall be played on the dates set down, and as notified on the Club notice board for which a minimum of Seven (7) days notice shall be given. By mutual agreement and with the approval of the Bowls Secretary or Assistant Bowls Secretary, matches may be played prior to that date if green space is available, but players will be responsible for providing their own markers in Singles events.

 

 

 

 BY-LAW 6.    For Singles matches, markers shall be allocated for the first round, whilst markers for subsequent rounds will be allocated from defeated players.  Players so allocated must carry out the duties or make alternative arrangements with another player.  Non-compliance could result in disciplinary action being taken by the Management Committee.

 

 

 

BY-LAW 7.     A player who has submitted his name for play on any organised days of play and fails to attend without notifying the Bowls Office may render himself liable to disciplinary action by the Management Committee.

 

 

 

BY-LAW 8.   Social bowls will be under the control of the Bowls Secretary and/or the Assistant Bowls Secretary and names will be accepted up to 10.00 am, or any other time as determined by the Match Committee.
